Cross-continental songwriting duo Bernie Gelman and Joseph Brandel first met in high school and have been fusing their own unique musical sensibilities ever since, with Gelman operating out of the San Francisco Bay Area while Brandel currently resides in Japan. Covering a ton of stylistic ground, the band veers from the bittersweet jangle of power-pop, to rustic indie-folk, fuzzy shoegaze, Midwestern emo, and much more. 2024 was a busy year for the band, with the release of No Guitar (Deluxe Edition) and Radio King/Mallow (Stereo) on Royal Oakie records, as well as two tours of Japan. 2025 finds the band writing & recording new material and Gelman playing shows on the West Coast with his "local union" lineup of the band featuring original drummer Logan Bean and bassist David Adamiak.
