Harmony Grits

The Harmony Grits are an acoustic quartet from Santa Cruz, California. They have brought their mandolin, dobro, guitar, and stand-up bass throughout the West, doing thousands of shows, and delighting all types of audiences with their picking, singing, and humor.

In their 12 years together, the Grits have developed a sound that is all their own. Their repertoire includes Bluegrass classics, old favorites, originals, and surprises from the uncharted regions of acoustic music. A Harmony Grits show features great vocal harmonies, driving rhythms, cookin' instrumentals, some off-the-wall antics, and a lot of fun.

Their second album, Music From Scratch, was recorded live at the Strawberry Music Festival. Available on CD and cassette, the disk incorporates all the excitement of a Harmony Grits performance. It has enjoyed extensive airplay on commercial and public radio stations throughout the States, and is a frequent favorite on Central California's infamous KPIG Radio. Music From Scratch has been sold worldwide and has received glowing reviews.
