With nearly 175 collective years of playing music, the members of ROMP: Rhan Wilson (An Altared Christmas, Tammi Brown, The Planet Cruz Comedy Hour, Thoth), Olaf Schiappacasse (An Altared Christmas, The Planet Cruz Comedy Hour), Matt Bohn (An Altared Christmas, Hot Club Pacific, The Planet Cruz Comedy Hour), and Patti Maxine (An Altared Christmas, John Cruz, Patrick Landeza, Saddle Up And Boogie) continue their musical evolution by digging up older fossils of tunes you forgot you remembered, altaring* their chordal makeup, and creating new species of music – all for the mere fun of it.

Combining selected genes from the Lap Steel (lapus steelus) and Baritone Uke (ukus baritonus) with the more traditonal drums, bass and guitar (bandus normalis), the ROMP band breathes new life into such classics as “Ode To Billy Joe” and the ever popular “My Ding-a-ling” (performed in a minor key with fake Russian accent). Toss in some western swing, folk, and soul – you get one heck of a primordial soup.

These musical colleagues have all worked together on various projects: all are key members of “Rhan Wilson’s – An Altared Christmas”, and Rhan, Matt, and Olaf are 3/4 of  the resident house band for “The Planet Cruz Comedy Hour”. Additionally – Patti, Matt and Rhan are now the new backup band for slack key guitarist Patrick Landeza.
