The Harmony Grits

Harmony Grits have been favorites on the acoustic music circuit for 20 years. Traditional bluegrass instrumentation within a freeform musical style gives the Grits their distinctive hard-driving high-lonesome sound married with a mellow west coast country-rock sensibility.

While certainly having a deep respect for hard core bluegrass, the band springboards from there to include elements of blues, folk, rock, and more. They have been described as a cross between Bill Monroe, Woody Guthrie, and the Grateful Dead. All five members sing and write songs, and any fundamental Grit-esque experience would include their great originals, many well-chosen old chestnuts, and epic instrumental jams.

Festival regulars throughout California, the Harmony Grits have entertained rapt crowds at many of the west’s finest venues. Having the Harmony Grits at your next event guarantees a fun, lighthearted, high-energy good time.
